The Dazzly AI Connector lets supported AI assistants connect to your Dazzly website so you can review, update, and publish website content directly from chat.

The connector only accesses the Dazzly website linked to your authenticated Dazzly account.

What you can do

With the connector, your AI assistant can help you:

  • View your Dazzly account and website information.

  • Find editable website content sections.

  • Read existing website content.

  • Update page copy and structured website content.

  • Publish website changes to your live site.

  • Upload images or files where the connected AI platform supports file upload tools.

Supported platforms

The Dazzly connector is built using the Model Context Protocol, or MCP.

It may be used by supported AI platforms such as Claude, ChatGPT, and other MCP-compatible clients, depending on platform availability and connector support.

Some features may vary by platform. For example, direct file upload support depends on whether the AI platform supports the required upload process.

Requirements

To use the connector, you need:

How to connect

  1. Open your supported AI assistant.

  2. Go to its connectors, integrations, apps, or tools settings.

  3. Add a custom connector or Dazzly integration.

  4. Enter the Dazzly MCP connector URL if asked:

    https://prod.mcp.dazzly.co/mcp
  5. Follow the log-in flow.

  6. Log in with your Dazzly account.

  7. Approve the requested permissions.

Once connected, your AI assistant can use Dazzly tools during chat.

Only approve the connector if you are comfortable allowing the connected AI assistant to help manage your Dazzly website content.

Permissions

The connector might request permissions such as:

  • site:read
Allows the assistant to view account, website, and content information.

  • site:write
Allows the assistant to update editable website content.

  • site:publish
Allows the assistant to publish website changes.

Security and privacy

The connector uses Dazzly authentication and OAuth permissions. Your AI assistant receives access only after you sign in and approve the requested permissions.

The connector is designed to operate on the Dazzly account and website associated with your authenticated user.

Do not ask an assistant to publish changes unless you have reviewed the intended updates.

Recommended prompts

You can ask your assistant things like:

Show me my Dazzly website details.
Find the editable content sections for my website.
Show me the current homepage banner content.
Update my homepage headline to: Fresh websites for growing businesses.
Publish my latest Dazzly website changes.

For best results, ask the assistant to inspect the available content keys before making updates. If you are planning new page copy, our website SEO guide can help you choose stronger wording.

Publishing changes

Updating content does not always immediately publish changes to the live website.

After making edits, ask your assistant to publish the website:

Publish my website changes.

Published changes may take about 30 seconds to appear on the live site.

Updating website content

Dazzling websites use structured content sections. Your assistant may first look up the available content keys, then use those keys to read or update the correct website section.

For example, a content key may be HomePageBanners, ContactPhone, or another key depending on your website template.

If a section supports multiple items, the assistant may need an item index before updating it.

Uploading files

File upload support depends on the AI platform.

Some platforms may support direct upload through their app or connector interface. Others may not support file uploads through MCP connectors yet.

If file upload is unavailable, you can still use the connector to update text and structured website content.

Troubleshooting

I can't connect the connector

Check that:

  • You entered the full connector URL if required: https://prod.mcp.dazzly.co/mcp

  • You completed the Dazzly sign-in process.

  • Your Dazzly account has a website.

  • Your browser did not block the sign-in pop-up or redirect.

  • Your AI platform supports custom MCP connectors or Dazzly integrations.

File upload is not available

File uploads depend on platform support.

If your AI assistant says file uploads are unsupported, you can still update text and structured content. Use another supported Dazzly interface if you need to upload images or files, or contact Dazzly for help.

The assistant can't find a content key

Ask the assistant to run the content key search first:

Get the content key map for my website before making changes.

Some content keys vary by website template.

The assistant updated content but I can't see it live

Ask the assistant to release the website changes.

Also allow around 30 seconds for published updates to appear on the live site.

The assistant says a field is incorrect

This usually means the selected content key and field key do not match your website template. Ask the assistant to inspect the content key map and choose a valid field for that section.

The connector says I am unauthorized

Try disconnecting and reconnecting the connector. If the problem continues, sign out of Dazzly and sign in again during the authorization process.
